Drawing inspiration from the seasons

Apple blossum

With the onset of spring in Australia, one cannot help but to draw inspiration from the bursting forth of life from the dull shackles of winter.

This weekend past, I was drawn to the myriad of edible plants in our yard that are blossoming. Ranging from leafy green veges through to stone fruit, everything is blooming. With the flash of colour all around, I was drawn to them with camera in tow much like the bees drawn to a flowers sweet sweet nectar.

The burst of life all around has helped fire up my creative spirit with a self-directed refocusing on my “arty” skills in story writing, photography and model making. Maybe I am spreading myself to thin however one field does fire me up in the other.

Does any particular season get your creative juices flowing?
